Newborns at home

The opportunity to come to your home and document your joy at having a new baby is one of the most special things I do. And, I love it!

Every family is different and I adjust to what you want out of your session. It’s not about me, it’s about you!! For example, not all women want breastfeeding photographs, but many do. They note the way I capture the way the baby looks at them, and are so happy they will get to remember that look and memory when they are no longer breastfeeding.

Thank you snow for allowing me some time to catch up on my blogging! After doing this families pregnancy portrait, I had the honor of photographing their son at 6-days-old. It is really incredible to see infants as they adapt to their new world. As always, feedback is greatly appreciated. Warmly, Meryl

Congratulations to Kate and Marisa on their beautiful baby girl. I photographed them when Marisa was pregnant, and then when Camila was born, and I hope to document their lovely family for years to come.

Camila-10 days old

I have been having a wonderful time lately photographing pregnant couples, newborns and families. These were done on-location in the comfort of the couple’s home. Congratulations Kate and Marisa on your beautiful baby girl!

I am really enjoying working with Seattle families to produce photographs of their infants and children in their homes. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for moms and dads with new babies to have me come to them. I also photographed this little cutie before he was born, as I created a pregnancy portrait of his mom, Karey. I am preparing for a show at Birth and Beyond in Madison Valley in Seattle which begins on May 1. Very exciting!

Welcome to the world Paige

There was poo, there was pee, there was poo, there was spit up and then there was the moment. Ok, there was a lot more pee than that, but it was a wonderful experience shooting my first newborn.
